Back in May 2026 , my job as Data Scientist ended, i was told just 20 days ago . From June started applying for job, mostly applied in July/August and early September. Applied around 100 jobs , got interview invitation around 7 out of 100 applied . Received offer from Kiewit as Environmental Scientist ( $95k annual/Oregon) . I want to tell it is hard being jobless , but hold your ground and keep applying. Tailor your resume and cover letter matching to the job description( reflect your experience accordingly).. It is better to apply 5/6 jobs daily that matches your profile other than applying 20 random jobs. The right job will find you.. best of luck all!
