Mortgage Interest Rate Options
Just wondering how others have managed it. Switching offersnt aren't great right now and trying to minimise the impact from going from a 2.2% (€1369pm) rate to a 3%+ rate.
In my head moving to PTSB on higher rate account for €1150 legal costs, we're €6K better off over the term. Was hopening to get some opinions if this is the best way to think about it.
LTV is approx 63% with €354K left and unfortunately I don't think I can strech the valuation higher and we're not in a position to get it below or at the 60%. Im thinking in the 2-3 years we'll be there and we'll remortgage again.
BOI fixed rate: 3.25%
- ~€1,579/month
- 4-year fixed
PTSB fixed rate: 3.55%
- ~€1,630/month
- 3-year fixed
- €7k cashback + monthly cashback of €32pm
