Is mistborn era 2 more mature than era 1 ?

A new reader and mistborn is my first read ever. I enjoyed book 1 and found it fun. A solid 7/10 and would recommend as a standalone

But good god book 2…. I’m not exaggerating when I say it broke my will to complete the trilogy. I pushed so hard but could only read 400 pages after which I felt dead inside, and completed the rest in a youtube mega summary by Daniel Green (don’t put me in jail please).

And I realized my main gripe with mistborn is that it felt like a YA. And here comes my question, does era 2 have the same feeling and characterization as era 1 ? or is it more mature ?

is (A gunter’s guide) a good way to read the cosmere ?

I’m new to novels and wanted to start reading the cosmere. Read the first 100 pages of mistborn and decided that I’m committed to reading all the stories in this universe. While I was searching for a proper order I stumbled upon a youtube video which linked this sheet

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WsTifIVwdS8PnuKJeKFaQTIa7PGFdNnY/edit?gid=395411025#gid=395411025

what caught my eyes was the (a gunter’s guide) and want to ask people who are already done with the reading if that’s a good way/order to read the novels in.

the link to the youtube channel and all socials of the person who made the sheet are in the sheet too.

How far in the story are the physical copies ?

I’m someone who got into ORV through the manhwa and read about 60-65 chapters.

Now considering a reread through the novel, and found the physical copies sold in yen press store up to vol 4 (which will drop on 21 July).

Does anyone know how much of the novel is covered in these volumes ? Cause according to the releaseing trend there will be a new volume every 4 months, and I want to plan my purchases so that I always have something to read and not runout quickly.
