My first 100ug LSD Experience

I’ll begin with saying, the only other psychedelic I’ve done has been mushrooms and that was around 2-2.5 years ago. I didn’t really know what to expect but I wasn’t nervous going into it. I took the tab at 8:40pm maybe an hour after a light dinner. I didn’t really know what I was expecting the tab to do in my mouth at the end of the day it’s just a paper. After 20 minutes I swallow it.

For the first hour the strongest thing I noticed was an immense relaxation, it was almost like an edible high - calm, heavy, and most certainly peaceful.

At the second hour things started becoming noticeably different, the visuals started coming up at this point. The best way I could describe it, the hue on everything got turned up a bit and objects had a breathing effect to them, almost everything had a somewhat cartoon outline to it. Nothing looked fake or imaginary but reality itself felt visually alive. One thing. I noticed in the moment was that I would get fixated on certain things just staring in awe, and I would get lost in the moment and feel like time slowed down.

One thing I noticed pretty quickly was that every single time I would pull my phone out and try to document what I was feeling it would almost immediately pull me out of the immersion. It was like trying to consciously analyze the experience weakened it a little bit. Eventually I just stopped trying to constantly write things down because I realized I was genuinely living in the moment. Time didn’t matter, nothing mattered, and I was thoroughly enjoying every second of it.

Nearing 3 hours:

If the come up was an edible high and the second hour were mild visuals, music was the absolute catalyst to the entire experience. I can honestly say music became something entirely different than I had experienced sober. It wasn’t just “better sounding” it felt multi layered, dimensional as if it had its own space. Every instrument felt separated into its own space. These different layers of sound seemed to rise and fall independently. Tiny details I almost never noticed felt impossible to ignore. Every transition, every background sound, every effect felt emotionally important. I already appreciated music, but this really cranked it up.

Around 3:30 to 4 hours in I knew it was fully kicked in. The relaxation intensified heavily and the fixation effect became even stronger. Time itself started feeling weird, almost stretched out and disconnected from normal pacing. I would get completely sucked into whatever I was focused on whether it was the movie, a random thought, or especially the music.

The visuals never became these insane movie type hallucinations people make psychedelics out to be, but honestly they didn’t even need to. Although I must add when listening to music and closing my eyes I could see that ripple effect with mild colors overall felt like I was having a concert on my own ears lol.

By around 2-3 AM I could feel the effects slowly starting to diminish. The visuals softened first while mentally I slowly started feeling more grounded again. What surprised me the most was how gradual the comedown was. There wasn’t some exact moment where it suddenly stopped, it slowly loosened its grip over time. At no point during the entire trip did I feel as if I was out of control of it. Which is what happened during my first mushrooms trip. Overall was an amazing experience and I can now understand the love behind LSD.
