Why did Edeberi go lead?

This is a simple one... after her win for the first season of the bear. Ayo Edeberi went lead, and I do not understand on two fronts; firstly, she's simply not a leading lady of the show, the only actual lead is Jeremy Allen White, and secondly (more importantly), SHE WOULD'VE CONTINUED WINNING, there is an argument to be made that had Edeberi stayed supporting she'd have swept every year Like Moss-Bachrach.

Her performance in the bear is strong enough to continue winning unchecked. It probably isn't for some desire for category integrity- the bear has already faced scrutiny over it's misleading categories (going comedy when the DRAMA, in dramady is leading; winning best supporting actress in season2 for what was really a season 3 episode, etc) My point is, they have no real aversion to category games if its beneficial and Edeberi being supporting would've been beneficial.

Idk... just word vomit. What do yall think?

Imma be real: Fanning>Smart

Elle Fannings performance was a tour de force; she offers such a balanced, comedic, tramatic, layered performance and Ep8 is such an exemplary showing of the crosswalk she's masterfully crossing.

If the Academy for television were fair, Jean Smart wouldn't be the front runner. YES, Smart is excellent in Hacks as always; and all four of her other wins, I gleefully supported- she was more phenomenal than Quinta Brunson and Ayo Edeberi... but this year? No, she's been beat by Fanning.
