They preface the article with a nice three-paragraph blurb about how great TWW was, how it's now a classic, etc. ... then at the very end of those three paragraphs, give themselves an excuse to "capture modern political topics and sentiments that would give the show a different feel, but these contemporary actors would still embody the essence of The West Wing's iconic cast of characters."

Except, no. No, no, no. No.

Their casting choices just proves they loved The Diplomat and The Americans and want that power couple back again along with a number of other popular and "up-and-coming" actors with no thought about the CHARACTERS at all.

I love Toheeb Jimoh. He was great on Ted Lasso. But he's about a decade too old to play Charlie. Sure, if we're doing magic and making him younger, then he'd be great.

The others, MAYBE. But overall, it's like someone just picked some random actors with no thought about the characters whatsoever.

In Season 1, when we first meet Rya'c, Teal'c wants to stop the ceremony where Rya'c will receive his first symbiote BECAUSE he'll then be forever required to carry one.

Fast forward to Season 7 and the "Birthright" episode and Ishta's warriors are hunting Jaffa and taking their symbiotes implying that the young girls NEED one just to survive.

I know Rya'c was sick and that's why his mother bribed a priest so he could get a symbiote and Teal'c then gave Rya'c his symbiote to keep him alive.

What is your thinking on this? Do Jaffa just not have sufficient medicines, no herd immunity, etc, so they actually do NEED symbiotes (or Tretonin)? Or would the Jaffa just suffer for several generations while they build up their own societal immune systems?

Let's say they did make a new SEQUEL SG series, starting today. Given that it's been 15+ years, what kind of upgrades do you think they would make to Atlantis before sending it out on a new mission?

Rewatch that first scene of "The Warrior" and you can easily see K'Tano starting a MegaChurch and driving a Benz.

I'm about halfway through season 4 on my rewatch and I can't help but notice that Amanda's hair stylist appears to be having some sort of schizo-break where her hair is always going wild at random moments.

Honestly, its like they couldn't afford a full-time hairstylist on set, but they could afford two or three part time ... literally scene to scene her hair style changes in these weird variations.

I'm doing a rewatch now and I'm interested if there are any episodes that people skip consistently and I'd love to know why certain episodes get skipped.

In S02E09 "Secrets", Daniel and Teal'c go to Abydos and encounter Sha're there with her "demon" Amaunet "sleeping" because she's pregnant with the Harcesis child ...

Why didn't Daniel and Teal'c just Zat her immediately, drag her to Cimmeria, and push her through Thor's Hammer.

Bam ... Daniel has his wife back.

EDIT: To be clear, I know the reason is "because the writers wrote it this way" AND given that both episodes are close to each other, it's possible that some details got changed during filming. Plus these episodes were written by two different writers, so they might not have gotten all the details communicated to one another ... ie, the second writer might not have even read the script for "Thor's Chariot" when writing "Secrets".

and hearing Martin Sheen doing the voice over for George Washington makes me immediately think of when he read the excerpt from Washington's book on civility and etiquette.
