Hi,

I’ve recently moved to Cologne and I’m looking to join a local amateur football club (Kreisliga/Bezirksliga level).

Is it realistic to do that without speaking much German yet? In term so my skills, I am a decent 31 year old player with experience of playing for clubs.

What’s the best way to get into a team here?

Do clubs usually respond to emails or contact forms, or is it better to just show up at training?

Any advice would be appreciated.
