I've Set Up an Independent House-Call Only Vet for Pets in Kerry
Hey everyone! I hope this is ok to post. I'm Sarah. I'm a vet based in north Kerry. I graduated from UCD in 2012 and spent 8 years in Australia, where I was the lead vet and practice manager in a small animal practice. I returned home in 2020 and started a family in Kerry.
I'm starting a small animal, entirely mobile, house-call practice for pets in Kerry and west Limerick. I'm independent and just starting out so wanted to introduce myself here.
I know how stressful clinic trips can be for pets, especially cats, rabbits, nervous dogs, or bigger, older dogs with arthritis where it is tough to get them physically into the clinic.
I also know that sometimes owners themselves have mobility or transport limitations which would make a home visit much easier.
Additionally, for euthanasias, it can be helpful for people to be able to say goodbye at home, rather than in the clinic setting.
