Now that exams are over, the whiteboard reminds me of my looming graduation!

Now that exams are over, the whiteboard reminds me of my looming graduation!

Clearly I had to put the whiteboard to good use. During exams, it was smothered in physics equations. Koro-sensei is a welcome replacement 🐙💛 TIME TO GET THIS DEGREE 🎓

I had this very symbollic, and spiritually-powered dream last night!

I just woke up from this really gorgeous dream honestly but it also felt very deep. My interpretation is also at the end of this post!

In this dream I paid a visit to the most beautiful, surreal university. Since I was dreaming it felt like a liminal space, or like somewhere important. The emblem of the university was a horses head. Think of Oxford architecture - it looked a lot like this and it was huge. Lots of towers, beautiful decorated windows, one building had them decorated in this olive green trim with tentacle-like patterns, there was a giant fountain and because it was night time, the fountain water was lit up with a bright white, and the center of the fountain was a horse on its hind legs. The university was hosting a graduation ceremony, preparing for one, so it was really prestigiously decorated. It reminded me of a medieval castle.

Now the next day, when it was bright early morning, a woman came who was maybe the owner of the university. She was wearing a suit, and she told the staff that we would be proving the presence of Jesus at the university today at the graduation event. I remember seeing a beast in the quadrant, it was maybe a black dragon with lots of horns (not a pretty dragon at all, a scary one!) and when no one saw me, I ran to hide behind a dark wall out of sight, to see what was happening. Something about it all felt evil. Through the side of the quadrant is an entrance to a large stoney open room (but think of the warm stones you see in Oxford) and in the centre of it was a cross, and they tied a lamb to the cross. To demonstrate that Jesus was there, the plan was to set the lamb on fire, and it would be on fire but it wouldn't burn or die - and that was symbollic and showing that Jesus was protecting the lamb / to demonstrate the lamb was the invincible Jesus. It worked, they set the lamb on fire, which panicked and ran out and was on fire the whole time, but it didn't die or burn. I was in awe.

That afternoon many people gathered in the quadrant for the graduation, and the woman brought them in to show the presence of Jesus by performing the same demonstration. This time however, there was no fire. But she insisted there was, it was just an invisible type of fire. A girl who was likely an actress leaned forward and pressed her hand to the cross and said "I feel it!!! It burns! Wow there IS a fire but it isn't burning the lamb!" and many people believed it and cheered, saying Jesus was really there. He wasn't. The beast was gone, and the beast was in charge of lighting the cross on fire, so it's likely they just didn't have a way to light the cross up. During a dinner, where we were served a really delicious cookie cake (I have never seen such a dessert before, it was glorious! Think of a huge chocolate chip cookie but its soft in a plate and it has smarties and cream on it) I started telling people the whole thing was a ruse and they shouldn't believe it. Many people took my side, and the woman became very angry when she found out. Everyone was getting a taxi home, but she diverted the route of the taxis somewhere where she planned to hurt the attendees. I knew she would do this, so me and a few others went by foot. But we got lost, and I encountered a huge gravesite. Now, this gravesite, it was beautiful.

Snow covered the graveyard, and the entrance was a tall archway. Inside, were a lot of reindeer. Female and male, with the antlers. There was also a beautiful green hot air balloon with banners around it, and bright warm lights, that looked so epic. Also these vines and pink flowers blooming everywhere. I was worried about the reindeer, but turns out they were very sweet. In fact the female deer came up and let me stroke her, then a buck came and I stroked his antlers and he licked my cheek. I spent the rest of the dream cuddling the buck, and the guard on the gravesite was an old friendly man who said the reindeer are safe. Weird huh?

MY INTERPRETATION -

And the progression of the dream is fascinating because it moves through layers -

  1. The beautiful sacred institution - At first it feels prestigious, intelligent, ancient, trustworthy.
  2. The hidden horror beneath it - I alone notice the beast. I literally move into the shadows to observe instead of participating
  3. The genuine miracle - The lamb truly burns without harm. Which is honestly terrifying imagery but also deeply biblical-symbolic?! Like, sacrificial lamb - purification by fire - innocence protected -martyrdom imagery
  4. The counterfeit miracle - The second ceremony is fake. The invisible fire only exists through performance and social pressure. That actress pressing her hand to the cross is SUCH a cool detail because it captures manufactured mass belief perfectly.

It was like, the beast disappears. And the miracle disappears with it. Meaning the institution never possessed power itself, it relied on something darker backstage.
