Would You Trade an OMJM + 000-15M + $3,000 for a Martin CEO-10?
Should I trade my OMJM + 000-15M + $3,000 for a Martin CEO-10?
I’m looking for some advice from people who know Martin guitars well.
I currently own three Martins:
D-41
OMJM
000-15M
I’ve been offered a Martin CEO-10, one of the limited 100 examples.
The proposed trade would be:
My OMJM + 000-15M + $3,000 cash → CEO-10
I really like the CEO-10. The specs are very appealing: European spruce, Guatemalan rosewood, short scale, 1/4” scalloped bracing, traditional dovetail neck joint, etc. I also like the fact that it’s a limited model.
However, I absolutely love my OMJM, and I’ve recently been enjoying my 000-15M a lot as well. With the D-41, I already have a pretty diverse collection.
So I’m wondering:
Would you make this trade?
Is the CEO-10 special enough from a construction, tonal and collectability standpoint to justify giving up both the OMJM and 000-15M plus $3,000?
Or would you keep the two guitars and o the $3,000 on something else, perhaps a 2025+ 000-18, while keeping the OMJM and 000-15M?
I’m especially interested in opinions from people who have actually played a CEO-10, OMJM, or both.
Thanks!
