My Fujinon B4 lens (first image) has a stuck macro lever. Compared to other identical Fujinon lenses (second image), the macro lever sits in a completely different position.
The lens only focuses properly around f/5.6, and with the 2× extender it won’t focus at all.
Could a stuck macro mechanism cause these symptoms, or is it more likely a back focus/internal optical issue?

I recently bought a Fujinon A19x8.7BERM-28 but returned it because it wouldn’t focus properly. The seller has now offered it back to me at a lower price.
Symptoms:
Without the 2× extender, the image only became sharp at around f/5.6 or smaller, and only at certain focal lengths (around 50 mm).
With the 2× extender engaged, I couldn’t achieve focus at all.
Adjusting the back focus didn’t solve the issue.
I also noticed that the macro lever on my lens is in a completely different position compared to every other A19x8.7BERM I’ve found online.
Could this be a stuck macro mechanism, or does it sound more like an internal optical or 2× extender problem?

I’m now considering buying a Sony A7R IV for photography because I plan to print my photos in a book, and I also want the highest possible image quality for photos of my products and the models representing my brand.
I need a camera to create content for my clothing brand. It would mostly be for still shots, shooting lookbooks, and recording vlogs.
I know the low-light advantages of the Sony ZV-E1, but I’ll be shooting mostly during the day, so overall I’m not sure what to choose.
