Color coming off with leather CPR?

I recently just got a pre-1994 convertible clutch (my very first vintage Coach and I am very excited to have her!)

The color seems to be a 'blavy' as I've seen it called before. The bag seemed in good shape so I decided to just stuff/shape it and use some leather CPR. However, when I started putting it on, I noticed the color getting on my hands a little and so I wiped it with a damp cloth which picked up more color.

The color of the bag seems so even and perfectly matched to the zipper fabric so I'm not sure if this is a case of paint, polish, dye, or just normal? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

I will be traveling to Paris with my friends and would love to have a photo session done with the three of us. When searching for photogs (mainly on IG), I mostly only see ones that do romantic/couples shoots. I am hoping to find a photog that has a little more moody/cinematic style. Any recommendations on finding a photographer that does group portraits?

Any help would be much appreciated! :)
