Recently delivered David Austin rose: wet soil but wilted new growth.

I’ve had many David Austin roses while living in the UK, but this is my first time having one delivered abroad and this late in the season.

The rose bush is a bit withered, especially the new growth shoots, which are bent over. The soil is still quite wet, so it doesn’t seem thirsty, and I can’t see any visible pests.
Weather is hot last couple of days.

Overall, it actually arrived in very good shape considering the journey, but I’ve never seen this kind of effect before, so I’m not sure how best to help it.
Could it be heat stress, humidity, or simply the result of spending about a week in a box and it will perk up?

I’m planning to repot it into a huge terracotta pot. It will live on a sunny balcony, so I’ll gradually acclimate it before moving it fully outdoors.
Is it better to repot asap or give it a couple of days?
