The rock that started it all. A few years ago we lost my sweet dog Kylie. Before marriage, kids, job changes, Kylie was with me. After 12 amazing years, we lost her & I was devastated. I wanted to do something special in her honor, so I created a garden, & painted a rock I found to name it after her. After that, I started painting more rocks, so many that my husband bought some canvas & told me to paint on those, thus my love of acrylic painting was born!
Dogs are so special. They love us unconditionally & for their entire life. I loved mine so much, it has since sparked love in a new form: painting ❤️

I started painting about 9 months ago. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I recently opened an Etsy shop to support this expensive hobby of mine 😆 idk if it’s me being a newbie painter or what, but I struggle with worrying about people not thinking I’m any good, which is a weird contrast because painting makes me so happy & Im (typically) happy with the outcomes of each painting. Of course we all have different tastes and to each his own. But I’m just wondering if/when I’ll ever feel confident as an artist in my own work.

Started painting about 8 months ago. I’ve really been working on my painting/sketching skills. I paint almost everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. That said, it gets expensive using up all of these paints & canvases so I’ve started using my sketchbook here & there to practice. It has been so much fun!
