How do I get back into trading
2 years back, I blew my trading account and it had my entire life savings plus loans I had taken hoping to repay them back. And that thing broke me to pieces. So I stopped looking at charts, and perfected my coding skills. Of course that was a hard decision I had ever made.
My reason for blowing my account: I was not getting any coding jobs at the time so I decided to use my float to pay for my rent. Worst mistake I ever made. I was emotional, under unnecessary pressure and was always trading with too much nerves.
As a dev, however, I know where the money is coming from and I don't have to worry so much about market shifts. I was also a pretty good SEO strategist and copywriter so I leaned more into those skills. Now, I want to get back but I think I have PTSD, if you can call it that.
I still interact with chats by offering bots, alert scripts, and other software, but I don't necessarily trade. I basically help traders create systems that will help them make less emotional trades like I did.
Has anyone ever experienced PTSD after getting burned by the market? And if so, how did you get over it?
PS: I'm afraid of even creating bots for myself. The problem is not the code, it's the PTSD and anxiety that comes with it. I can't just seem to shake it off. So, please don't tell me to make a bot for myself. I hope that makes sense.
