I was really excited about the new multiplayer content for Mario Wonder on Switch 2, but finding out the online modes are basically friends-only was honestly pretty disappointing.

Not everyone has friends available to play at the same time, especially for party/minigame modes like these. Random matchmaking feels like such an obvious feature in 2026, especially when Nintendo is pushing more online/social features with Switch 2.

The new content actually looks fun, but this decision makes the modes feel way less accessible than they could be.

Do you guys think Nintendo might change this in a future update if enough people complain about it?
They’ve reversed online decisions before (like Mario Maker 2), so I’m kinda hoping this isn’t permanent.
