I heard this beautiful sounding song years ago, lost it, and will get flashes of it ever since. Im not sure if the way I describe it works but Ill try.

-Title was along the lines of 'Anita'

-Sung solo by a woman

-The pitch in the chorus went high to low I believe ending along the lines of "salang a, salang"

This is all I have to go off, if there are earlier gen (female) artist that have done ballad songs solo that possibly match the description please comment names.
