Sorting realigns my cells and messes up my row banding.

I added "zebra stripes" to a few of my spreadsheets to make for easier readability. But now when I sort or otherwise manipulate the data, it screws up the lines because the cell attributes are tied directly to the cell's contents and also get realigned in a sort operation (see example). DUH! I didn't think of that when I built them. But now that they're there, I kinda like them and I don't wanna go back to using just a plain white background. Any ideas of how I could get around this?

Helpful guideline doesn’t always appear when I’m adjusting the column width

When I’m changing the width by clicking and dragging the rightmost boundary at the top of the column, a vertical line should appear below the cursor down in the body of the spreadsheet. It’s tied to the cursor and moves right or left along with it. Sometimes this line appears, but it usually doesn’t for some reason – it’s weird. Is there a way to force this line to always show up?
