So, I used to take metoprolol, lowest dose, for blood pressure. I lost a bunch of weight and got the okay from my doctor to taper off and quit. I did so with zero problems. That was four years ago.

Just went for a wellness visit with a new doctor and she wants to put me on propranolol 60mg for high blood pressure, which is just slightly above 140/90. I have been down the Reddit rabbit hole with this drug but most posts are people using it for anxiety. Anyone over 55 using for HBP and is it working, like significantly working to bring your numbers down.
