I am looking for second opinions on my fic!

So I am writing a Rhaegar wins AU where Aegon is declared heir but dies before Rhaegar which causes a dance of dragons between Rhaegar’s legitimate daughter and his illegitimate son. In this fic both Elia and Lyanna live to raise their children but they’re not on good terms with eachother or Rhaegar but maintain appearances. I really want to make the 3 of them imperfect and a bit selfish so they’re not going to be super likeable

Some notes about the characters

- Elia - Queen consort of the Seven Kingdoms. Extremely protective of her children and prepared to take on a second dance of dragons from the moment the rebellion ends.

- Lyanna - Rhaegar wanted to name her a second queen but faced heavy backlash from his court and the faith and considering how rocky the state of the kingdom is, he gives in and names her Princess consort. Lyanna never got over the resentment as she sees herself a queen especially since she gave Rhaegar the third head of the dragon he always wanted. After Aegon’s death she keeps pushing for Valarr to be named heir and when Rhaegar refuses, starts gathering her allies.

- Rhaenys - Named heir after Aegon’s death to appease Dorne and the faith but quite a few lords are unhappy with the prospect of being ruled by a Dornishwoman

- Aegon - declared heir by Rhaegar and married to Margaery but dies without heir

- Valarr - only child of Rhaegar and Lyanna. His personality is quite different from Jon Snow due to the completely different upbringing. After Aegon’s death, Lyanna planted in Valarr’s mind he should be the future ruler of Westeros which is something he could never forget particularly he wanted to avenge his mother’s ruined reputation.

- Viserys - either married to Arianne Martell or decided to become a Maester (I keep going back and forth on this)

- Daenaerys - Betrothed to either Elbert Arryn or Edmure Tully

Now here’s what I am really struggling with:

- Who would Rhaegar betroth Rhaenys and Valarr too? - I imiagine he would be trying to marry all of his children and siblings off to paramount houses to secure their loyalty after their rebellion which is how I decided on the pairings for Aegon, Dany and Viserys but I am really split on Rhaenys and Valarr.

I’ve seen Rhaenys get paired with Robb Stark a lot but that wouldn’t work for this as I want the Starks to back Valarr. On the other hand I can’t imagine anyone powerful really wanting to betroth their daughter to a bastard so maybe a Lady from a minor house in crownlands for Valarr? But that doesn’t give him much to stand on

- I want Dany to hatch the dragon eggs but where would she even get them from in this scenario and how do I realistically make Rhaenys and Valarr end up with dragons. I have half a mind to just get Rhaegar to hatch the dragons and give one to each of his children but that just completely erases Dany

- How does the Reach react now that Margaery isn’t going to be queen? I can imagine they’d push for a betrothal with Rhaenys and but she is already betrothed to someone else at this point. Does this feel like a good enough reason to side with Valarr or does it feel too forced?
