Flashcards or Outlines?

Should I be taking notes/utilizing flash cards while watching Themis videos? How detailed should they be? I find myself making a flash card for every nitty gritty rule and exception which is overwhelming, but I also don’t want to leave out anything important when it comes down to reviewing this information. Should I just focus on the large issues for flash cards and worry about smaller rules and exceptions in my wrong answer for MBEs? And are outlines useless to be making?

Most Frequently Tested Essay Rules

The general advice I have seen is to focus on the most tested subjects/ 20-30 rules in those subjects for memorization (for the essays). Is there a spreadsheet or some kind of resource that tracks this?

Struggling with Timing

I feel like I am taking too long to get through the material because I am outlining as I am watching the videos and getting familiar with the subject. While I know this is taking me too long, outlining and reviewing that outline is how I learn (this has been a big problem for me for Real Property because we didn’t cover some of this info in my class and I and had a hard time grasping it the first time). Should I continue down this path or take another approach? I am trying to front load the videos/learning the subjects with short MBE and essay practice every day so that I can be done with the MBE subjects by early June.

Thoughts on doing Themis lectures back to back instead of directed study?

I am getting overwhelmed going back and forth between lectures, practice sets and essays and I am feeling distracted by so many looming subjects ahead of me. I am considering just going ahead to cover all the remaining lectures and topics so that by the beginning of June, I can just start drilling MBEs and essays. Is this a bad idea?

Prep Schedule

Should I just be following the Themis daily schedule exactly or should I be supplementing additional work each day (such as sets of 10-20 MBE questions or writing out flashcards/rule statements for the subjects in the videos I have already watched)?

Struggling to Retain Information

I am on day 3 of bar prep with Themis and I’ve been watching the videos, filling out the handouts, and doing the practice, but I feel like I’m having a hard time retaining the information. It was hard for me to spot the issues on the essay, and I feel like I can’t memorize the rules this quickly. Is this normal? The amount of information is overwhelming.
