Has anyone experienced with VDO with their immediate dentures? If so, what happened and what did your dentist do about it?

I'm just over a week in E-day was 10th August, I love my dentures and I love my smile with them however I can't fully close my mouth comfortably which means i've been really struggling with my speech. They're also quite loose now and I was told to wait 2 weeks before using adhesive. Bit miserable living on Mashed Potatoes and Yoghurt.
