I first started this because I liked the art and the academy setting, but Ed quickly became the main reason I stayed.

What I like about him is that he isn’t just strong for no reason. He works constantly, plans ahead, adapts when everything goes wrong, and somehow keeps pushing even when he is exhausted or completely outmatched.

I eventually got impatient and moved on to the novel, and that made me appreciate him even more because you get much more of his thoughts and struggles. I recently caught up with the latest published side stories too (ss 48), and it reminded me how much the entire cast has developed since the beginning.

For anyone who started with the manhwa, did you eventually move on to the novel too?

I was wondering how many people here started with the manhwa and eventually moved on to the novel.

I caught up a while ago, and I recently read the latest published side stories too. They give a lot more focus to characters like Bell, Yennekar, Lortel, Clarice, and Tanya, which made me appreciate the cast even more.

For those who read both versions, how do you feel about the adaptation so far? And where are you currently in the novel?

I've been reading the manhwa and saw it gets a lot of hate. I know it's not the best out there but I mean it's not the worst either. I've been wanting to read the novel, can anyone tell me what they think about it ?
