
5.75 Million Mastery Diana Finally Hit Diamond
Finally hit Diamond playing Diana jungle after years of OTPing her.
Started this season in Platinum. Ended it in Diamond adapting my own Diana playstyle instead of following the meta every game.
5.75 million mastery later and I still play Electrocute assassin Diana. The only thing that changed recently was experimenting with GA 3rd item around the 25-27 minute mark instead of defaulting other AP items or Zhonyas every game.
The build was intentional from the start. I wanted something that let me force midgame tempo harder instead of pausing fights with Zhonyas.
The biggest thing I noticed:
GA forces enemies to actually BURN abilities on you and punishes entire teams that overcommit trying to kill you.
Zhonyas often makes people hold cooldowns and reposition while waiting for stasis to end, even if you try to reserve it for CC. People panic dump ults, CC, flashes, and burst trying to kill Diana immediately after the engage.
Examples:
- dying with GA to secure Barons and Dragons
- forcing 3-4 man ults under tier 3 just to burn sums and instantly close games
- protecting 700g shutdowns during volatile midgame fights
- making engages feel decisive instead of hesitant
The funny part is Lich Bane’s 75% AP scaling keeps the damage feeling way higher than I expected even while buying a defensive item 3rd.
I’m not saying GA 3rd is always optimal every game, but I genuinely think it works if you understand when and how to force tempo and utilize the revive properly.
