Why did the creators name her Nerissa, given that the name means "sea nymph" or "from the sea" in Greek? That name would have suited Cassidy or Irma better

Why doesn't the animated series reveal how Cassidy explained her resurrection to her mother? She died 40 years ago, and then suddenly returned alive as a young woman. What will the police say about this, since she's officially dead? How does her mother react to this? And Cassidy's mother is also friendly with Nerissa, and it seems she's not even aware that Nerissa killed her daughter.

All the other girls look good, but Cornelia...

She's literally an uprooted tree that can fly :D Plus, she has hair instead of branches and leaves. It's so ridiculous. I think they could have turned her into sand; it would have looked better that way.
