Wait what even is this training?

From my first day I was paired with a coach who wasn't my coach. They work in appeal but did cap 1 ages ago. They told me to only topstock items if more than half of the labeled case can go up. That's what I have been doing for about a month now.

Apparently I'm supposed to stock what I can even if only 1 item from the case can go out and make room on the top to fit the rest. That way the next day nothing is coming back out.

I thought I was supposed to fix the on hands to prevent that from happening when I scanned the item back in the bin.

This is what my TL has corrected me on for what needs improvement, plus making eye contact with customers, but good luck on that I already have my autism diagnosis documented with my coach and the people lead. Really I just want to do my job and go home to watch Bob's Burgers.

Am I in the Wrong?

For a month now (before we had a TL) I informed the People Lead that my phone was not functioning and making my job more difficult. My coach was also informed. Well now we have a TL. My phone died from the Vizpick during the morning and so did my portal battery pack. I messaged my TL. I then plugged in my battery pack and talked to the People Lead about the phone issues. They had one my name already just not set up. I informed my TL that I talked to the People Lead about it and apparently I am in the wrong for doing so. I was also putting away the juice section since my phone died. I wasn't able to go on foot asking or look for the TL when People Lead was in their office. Am I wrong?

"Happy to Help" Defusing Customer

How do y'all defuse an angry customer?

I feel like I failed a small portion of my job when dealing with one angry customer. I had to bring over a coach to assist. She explained the same thing I said.

None of us are forklift certified (I technically am just not trained through Walmart). We couldn't possibly get a heavy bulky item from the pallet way up top nor are we going to shuffle 20+ pallets around to get one item. It's just not possible.

I even told her I was sorry that we (my team) couldn't assist her and told her to try Home Depot that is down the road. They should have a similar product. She scoffed at me and left her full cart for me. I just smiled and sorted out the cart before resuming work. I don't know, it felt like a walk of shame to involve management.

I'm now the HBA guy.

The manager approached me this morning and declared that I had been given a title promotion. No pay increase and no new work. I am now the only one that is allowed to pull HBA carts. If I need assistance I can grab anyone on my team as long as it's before lunch. Apparently I do a great job zoning. Customers find me approachable. I have a key that I return before my meal break and after my shift.

On top of this I still have to do my work of working other sections. I prefer garden and infancy. But at lunch I get to finish HBA and then help with the grocery side. Hopefully now we won't fall too far behind.

I Swear some Coaches Lost Touch with Reality

To begin Stock One is being required to work full carts and pallets alone. Management thinks this is the best way to get all our picks out while keeping the store looking clean. Also they believe the backroom will be more organized. Okay.

I got handed HBA which was two carts. So I pulled one to work solo as expected. I returned and a Coach in a different department was standing by the second cart and told me I have to work both before I clocked out. That's not happening. I get what I can done and take my cart back. Clean up and bin and as soon as my shift ended I clocked out. Thankful that I had the day off the next day.

I really would like management to understand that having all the carts and pallets pulled to the floor displeases our customers and that some carts need two people. Pallets should have two to three. It just makes sense. Like I can help a customer and my teammate can still be there working down the cart. Helpful for bathroom breaks too. You cannot deny someone toilet use.

Why is every update worse than the last?

For the past week now I have been dinking around with this app trying to do my job to the best of my ability. Still haven't been issued a work phone. I messed with my own camera settings and nothing got better. I updated the app. I restarted my phone and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. My camera operating system is Oxygen. I had gone done even wiped the lens.

Under my profile in the learning section it says I have 6 assignments due in 30 days. Do I do those on break or will I be pulled in the Resource center to complete them?
