Hi, I have a 2015 model with 133,000 km on the clock.

Recently I've been finding that while the car is running I can't change gears. I have to turn the car off in order to shift into first and then somehow get home (only been local so far). Doesn't happen all the time though.

Anyway I took it into a mechanic and I'm guessing they didn't have the same issue because their notes say only downshifting 3rd-2nd gear is the problem. He even told me I could keep driving it and just skip from 3rd to 1st, but on the way home I ran into the same problem and had to just drive first all the way home.

So anyway what does this point to? They suggested a gearbox repair but obviously didn't diagnose and suggest a fix for this issue other I've been having.
