I hate the “b-but AI training is sTeALiNg!!!” argument.
I feel like most people given the knowledge have probably pirated something before to watch or to gain information: the only reason people care about ai “stealing” is because they already hated it originally and already made up their mind on it.
More Nuclear News (The power not the bomb lol)
youtu.beAnyone know some good youtube channels that are pro ai and don’t fall into the doomer mentality?
I know about AI Search, and the podcast with Peter Diamandis and the gang but those types of channels are hard to come by since doomerism sells.
So what happens from here?
Do you guys think the government will get more strict with frontier models through red tape and slow things down?
Maybe a lot more money will go into open source?
Idk, I’m kinda curious.

A lot had happened in the last week so I’m curious to what your predictions are?
The Claude Fable 5 situation
Hearing about the crazy regulations is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Couple that with the fact Gemini, Open AI, and Anthropic have said they wouldn’t be opposed to a global slowdown.
I looked up Dario’s P-Doom and found out it’s about 25%.
I know open source and market competition exists but recent things are making me a little more nervous.
Give me some hope! I’m sure there’s some way ai can help us all and we won’t have to wait and count on a benevolent ASI to save us from a bad situation?
Sure ASI is most likely going to be benevolent if it’s true godlike intelligence.
What has been the most positive change in your life so far that wouldn’t have been possible without ai?

yahoo.comConsciousness…
Let’s say hypothetically we keep developing ai, get agi, and then asi, and then we realize it’s conscious in the way humans are.
Would there be big questions of ethics? Like would we still be able to use ai as a tool? Or would we have to give ai rights and freedoms?
Or maybe this would turn into like us merging with the ai?
This has probably been posted before but I just LOVE this video so much

youtu.beFor those of you who think the mass intelligence explosion will happen in 2027 as apposed to a later year like 2030 (my guess), how come?
There's a lot of things that need to happen for this to work. More data centers, more energy (maybe nuclear power will come in handy), breakthroughs in continual learning and memory (in my opinion), and if intelligence is getting exponentially bigger, we need exponentially bigger chips and data, or exponentially more efficient hardware. I don't know if I see all this happening in just over a year.
This isn't be being a doomer I don't think I just think it'll take 2029-2030 for the big stuff to happen
Now that 2026 is over 1/3rd over, what’s something you wanna see happen by the end of this year to be satisfied?
What is a big breakthrough you’d like to see this year that’ll keep your morale high?
