What disease was this in my medaka?

My fish that grew these lumps have sadly since died but any idea what it was? They were in with corydoras and neon tetras none of which had the same problem.

I tried esha 2000 (anti bacterial and anti fungus) methylene blue bath 10 second dips, anti parasite medication, (obvs not all at the same time) nothing worked.

Luckily, I managed to raise a bunch of fry from them.

Update - thx to ichthius' suggestion, I did some googling and I reckon it looks like glugea. not mentioned in general fish disease diagrams you see online or on medicine packaging.

The white bumps seem to be xenomas (like eggs up close - google that at your own risk!) which is why I thought they might be internal parasites/fungus/tumours.

No cure but isolate the fish - if the xenomas burst, will release fungus spores into the aquarium and infect other fish.

Just finished ghost eaters by clay mcleod chapman

curious if others have read it, I cant decide whether to be annoyed or not, - twist spoiler >!did they think it was allegory or actually seeing ghosts? I was expecting a supernatural story about seeing and being haunted by real ghosts rather than drug addled hallucinations (it was all a dream trope that I really dislike) !<
