Hi I’m here on holiday in Berlin and just woken to church bells, I’m from Spain so nothing new however they have been going on for 30 minutes non-stop at 8am!

I googled but can’t find the reason why - it stopped for a while and then started again for another 30 minutes at 9:30, would love to know why they’re ringing for that long, is it tradition or cultural? Please educate me!
