The true meaning of the "last robloxian standing" osts.
After listening to both of the lrs(last robloxian standing) songs currently in the game,I couldn't help but think they hide a lot more lore and information about the world of nullscape than most people on first watch. So i did some digging and here is what i found plus a theory of my own.
In "Find your flame" the protagonist(us) first enters nullscape and dies over and over while learning about the place they found themselves in. They push forward while abiding by the rules of this realm "engulf your own soul". After dying over and over they come to the realization that they are immortal and that gives them the motivation to find the "end" in "where most mortals fall" and "will you see what lies beyond the night". The final part is the most interesting since it shows a change, a realization, about the true nature of this dimension. "is it death that cannot be escaped" implies that it isn't death that cannot be escaped but something else, which i assume is our sins and in the case of nullscape greed. "Is there no other means to end this nightmare" this is the transition to the protagonist's mentality in "it doesn't end here"
In "it doesn't end here" the protagonist has realized that the end they seek cannot be found by nornal means. It's been so long the memories of their past self has faded "with our homes long forgotten". They don't want this to be their destiny, the eternal torture with no end, they seek their final tragedy, in other words, they seek death, closure. This need for closure gives them the determination to take control once again. NOW, this is the part that begun my search for answers within the osts. Right after "closer to the end of this world" another entity seemingly takes over and starts referring to the protagonist as "you" instead of the previous "we". Who is that entity? The celestial? The FINAL boss? God? Well the isn't too much to go off of here although the closest guess is the celestial who takes on the role of god or satan. It says this :
You never prosper
In a world that fights at every step
You need a savior
Running to the end of ever after
Deadly luster
Your path destined to self-destruction
Death defying dedication
Determination never questioned
So long forgotten
The grace of death
Your final stand
Yet you don't repent
An endless sadness
Disrupted realms
Destruction
Your own death
VERSE 2
Take what is left of your will
And go change the narrative
'Cause you cannot give in
For it's time for this song to end
I am copying this as it is in the song since i myself haven't been able to fully understand what he means.
Now time for the more confusing part:
Yet we are refusing this destiny
Take control of your life
Determination brings you
Closer to the end of this world
FINALE
There must be a way
This cannot be the end, no
Your desire for freedom
It must not be in vain
Bring this dimension to an end
Repay the old mistakes
And so long as your lungs still breathe
It does not end here
In the previous part it was clear that it was being said by a being of power that keeps us in this place, but in this specific section it's like both the protagonist and the entity speak, but why would the entity encourage us to "bring this dimension to an end" and says that our desire must not be in vain? Did the entity see the good in us? WELL here's the part you have all been waiting for, the theory.
How do we escape nullscape? Go in debt, not joking. The timeline that these songs establish is seemingly all based on our greed, the reason we're there in the first place. The entity tells us that we don't repent, which is correct due to our need for upgrades, since we are so desperate to end it we eventually accept the deal of the purification altar, "disrupting the realm" and bringing one step closer to escaping. What does the entity say? To REPAY our mistakes. The whole goal of nullscape is to lose everything and even more.
So this wraps up my theory, Are there a few holes? Yes. Is it somewhat inconsistent? Also yes but through the future updates i believe we'll get more hints towards this. Also i believe there will be a third lrs ost finishing off the trilogy and finishing off the protagonist's story by escaping and dying for good.
Last thing. I apologize for any mistakes and information i got wrong i was just so excited to get this theory out. If you'd like add and expand on it.
