Have villains gone soft?

Recently I feel like the villains have gotten toned down. Villains listed as cruel no longer feel very evil, especially towards the player character. I didn't used to have this problem, but nowadays it feels like the villains just...aren't villains anymore. Anyone else experience this?

An example: Character was a captive in a vampire castle and trying to escape. The big bad vampire who is meant to be the villain for some reason decided to learn to play the main character's favorite song. Like....what? 😅 I predominantly use Vega and Quasar. Is that why?

Betrothed

For those that liked Fixated, I made another romance story. This one showcases 6 unique male romance options. There should be something for everyone here. Some dark, some sweet, some emotional and healing, and genuine romance. Each have fully developed detailed personalities and backstories.

Thinking mechanic in place, the narrator will occasionally narrate the thoughts of the characters to bring more life to the story.

In addition to the male leads there are probbaly 40 or 50 random npcs just to make it feel more full. Have fun :)
