Accidentally bought a modded unit
I just barely decided to get into DS and 3DS games. I found a beautifully clean New 3DS XL. It had a stuck R button (not disclosed in the seller’s ad).
I cracked it open to see what the problem was, and while I can’t find a easy to pinpoint reason, I’ve found that if I keep one of the screws to the case loose it doesn’t jam up.
Upon reassembly, I started it back up, only to find that “Luma v11” is installed on it already!
I’m not against modding, but I specifically picked this one because it wasn’t modded. I’m not well versed in this, and don’t even really have a PC in order to properly mod this.
But, I’m now at a loss as to what to do. It’s VERY clean (R button aside).
Is it easier to delete luma? If not, is it safe to update my software like it keeps asking?
