File two tax returns? Do I need a pro?
Hi. I am a new business owner. 9months/partnership. This is my first year having to file business taxes.
A. Do I need to file two returns? One personal one business?
\-I am 45, single no kids. No personal income. So in theory, I wouldn’t file for me, at all.
B. Do I need a pro to file for the business? Or is it something I could do. I do have a pile of receipts.
\-I’ve always filed my own personal taxes (when I had a job), but they honestly take 30mins.
\-I have some accounting skill, in case that helpful.
I feel pretty lost, so I’d greatly appreciate any helpful direction. I’d also love any write off tips, or tax strategy for a small business. Thanks so much!
