Journalist seeking Deaf people deported from US without appropriate access to sign language interpreters

Hello, my name is Julia Métraux, and I'm Mother Jones' disability reporter. I am investigating instances of Deaf people being deported from the United States without meaningful access to sign language interpreters during the process. I have interviewed two Deaf deportees so far, and I am looking for a third (or more). While I can publish your first name only, I would need your full one (this is just a regular part of the journalistic process). The intent of this piece is to highlight the added cruelty of language deprivation. My email to get in touch is jmetraux@motherjones.com

Here is my author page for a sample of my work: https://www.motherjones.com/author/julia-metraux/

And one of my articles which included Deaf sources: https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2025/10/fired-disabled-federal-workers-accommodations-labor/
