does anyone else feel like driving around is slowly becoming a lost hobby?

maybe it's just me but i feel like nobody really goes out driving just for the sake of driving anymore

not talking about commuting or going somewhere specific

i mean grabbing your keys at 11pm, texting a friend to come along, putting on some music and just seeing where you end up

i swear some of my best memories are from completely pointless drives where we ended up finding some random road or spot we'd never seen before 😭

nowadays it feels like everyone needs an actual reason to leave the house

is this still a thing where you guys live or am i just being nostalgic at this point lol

personally been using overdrive to make those drives less boring tho, at some point driving for 5 hours straight without a goal was kinda boring, had to add some spice

EDIT : okay hold on I didnt expect receiving a flood of dms about the app, it's named overdrive, basically forza horizon in real life. (got like 50+ dms asking me about it xD)

okay i genuinely did NOT expect you guys to care this much 😭🫶

genuinely didn't expect my last post to get that much love 😭 i thought like 4 people would relate and instead you guys came through with hundreds of stories about random drives, night drives, roads you love and places you've discovered.

i've been reading basically every reply and you guys are actually such a cool community 🥹🫶

just wanted to say thank you because i genuinely didn't expect that kind of response at all. you've also given me way too many ideas for my next random drive lmao

anywayyy that's it 😭 appreciate you guys 🫶
