Beware: Scammer Spotted in Downtown SLC

Just ran into him near Gallivan Plaza in downtown SLC. He gave me the exact same story stated in the video: he's from Europe and needs $40 for a cab to meet his brother two hours away.

Luckily, my elephant memory from doom scrolling kicked in and I declined because it felt off. I looked online and sure enough, it was exactly him. If you're downtown this evening, beware. He's dressed sharp, and can be easily overlooked.

Based out of Utah, no family stateside. Is the commencement trip worth it?

Anyone actually done the solo grad walk? Worth the flight to Minneapolis, or should I save the money and sip Mai Tais in Miami instead?
