Cheap idiot with a fancy drone
Hi! I just got a DJI Mini Pro 5 drone for work and quickly learned that while it takes amazing videos, I don't have the means to edit them.
I tried using Divinci Resolve on a $400 dollar laptop. It didnt work well, although I am feeling confident I can learn the program (I managed to throw together an OK video with nice transitions, added music, text, etc).
My budget is $1200 with peripherals. I honestly don't know if that's even doable? I know the price of RAM cards is skyrocketing. I also don't know if I personally can "build" anything, but I'm looking for info anyway.
I have read through a couple of posts about builds for Divinci Resolve and video editing, but they seem to be either requests for gaming too, or the budgets are much greater than mine (a recurring clue).
I don't know what I'm doing. I'm learning, but most of what I find that I think would work well is 2-3k+ and despite my best efforts, is confusing. I am looking for minimum requirements to efficiently run the Divinci Resolve program and to make promotional videos for social media.
