Should I redo the writing sample?
Hey guys, looking for a little advice here.
I wrote the LSAT back in January and scored a 165. With my GPA, I’m pretty confident that score is good enough to get me into my target schools. Plus, life has been pretty chaotic since (I have a baby now).
My one massive concern is my writing sample. It wasn't completely terrible, but it definitely wasn't great either. The first half actually felt pretty solid, but as time started running out, I panicked. My arguments got super simplistic and short, and my conclusion was basically nonexistent.. just a couple quick sentences to wrap it up before the timer hit zero.
At the time, I told myself I’d just retake the whole LSAT anyway, so I didn't care as much. But now that a retake is the last thing I want to do with a newborn, I'm stuck.
So my essential question is: is it worth redoing the entire LSAT just because of a mediocre writing sample? Or are admissions committees going to look at my 165 and not really care that the essay ended on a rushed note? Appreciate any real talk on this.
