My ferret Finny (10 months old) has been making this noise while eating. I’m currently on vacation and my boyfriend forgot to bring their normal food. We got Duk soup and a replacement for the time being but this noise has started(I can’t see their regular vet until i’m back) and brought them with me (which is why he’s eating off of a plastic lid lol it’s their travel container) He just recently started to do the noise, is it just the way he eats or is something wrong? I have another ferret eating the same exact food and he’s fine. after he’s done eating, he goes back to playing and everything like normal and he’s still eating the same amount and acting fine. He’s my oldest and my baby so i’m new to ferrets and just worried.
