Hello a few weeks ago I had a simple punture in my rear passenger wheel tread. Took it to a local tyre shop for repair and was charged $40 nothing was mentioned about the damage they did to my wheel as a result during the punture repair.

Wheel place now refuses to replace my wheel with a new one. My car is under 3 months old, purchased brand new.

I lodged a police report and was told it won't be investigated as it's a civil matter.

I have full comprehensive insurance but don't wish to pay $500 excess for someone else's mistake.

What would you do now?. Is there any further investigation thst can be done by police.
