Dog wont stop licking
My 5 years old Mini Schnauzer (10pounds) started licking her butt cheek/ tail area like nonstop, took to the VET on last wednesday, but they dont know the reason but said her butt/tail looks fine so they have eliminated the concern for Anal Gland, but the licking didnt stop the next two days.
We took her to the vet again two days later (Friday), and she was given Cytopoint shot to stop the itch, and prescribed Metronidazole tablets. Today (Sunday) shes still licking and occasionally check her butt, though not as frequent.
She is eating and drinking/playing fine, looks a bit exhausted and not herself, she has been peeing and pooing, but her stool has been very soft, boarderline diarrhea.
What else could it possibily be? She has been healthy since birth and we arent sure if we should take her to a different vet if this doesnt get better.
