I am a rising D1 and I was lucky enough to be selected for HPSP Navy. A few days after letting faculty know I received HPSP, I was awarded a scholarship for 30 thousand dollars after writing an essay. I asked how these two scholarships would interact and admin said they’d get back to me. A week later I received an email that they were rescinding the scholarship.
My question is do I have any recourse? They never included any terms in the emails application page for the scholarship.
For context this is in a large city with high COL so the money would definitely be useful. I don’t think me getting HPSP scholarship should be a determining factor because the sacrifices associated with it. It feels unfair for them to just renege on me like this.

Is it normal for a scholarship to be taken away with seemingly no due process?
