I’m thinning out my peas. These little white nodules on the root are caused by beneficial bacteria. They take nitrogen from air and turn it into a form which the plant can use as nitrogen. The nodules will get bigger over time. Many people will cut their plants down after fruiting, instead of pulling g the whole plant up. The nodules in the soil will break down the fixed nitrogen which can be used by subsequent plant crops. Source: https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/plantmaterials/flpmctn12687.pdf
Hi all. I apologize for not posting these the last two weeks. I've been building a pond which has taken up a lot of time.
Don’t drive through line cones. There is always more than one way to get somewhere.
It’s a baby praying mantis. I find random egg sacks attached to anything from trees to yard decorations! lol.
I don’t know what kind of cactus this is. I got it at Floralia about 5 years ago. It is cold hardy but needs extremely good drainage. I put it in a pot in the greenhouse due to our wet winters. Anyway, it finally bloomed for the first time since I got it, and I think it is beautiful.
