NetDiag+ – is the lag your Wi-Fi, router or ISP?
App Name: NetDiag+ Network Toolkit
One-Line Description: A network diagnostics app that measures your connection and tells you which part is at fault: your Wi-Fi, your router or your provider.
Key Features
- Health Score: one ~40-second run gives a 0–100 score and a verdict for Wi-Fi, router and ISP. Tap any row to see how the points add up.
- Evening re-check: after a run, the app offers one reminder to check again at the other end of the day (21:00 or 13:00), because a line that is fine at lunch can struggle in the evening.
- Report for your provider: after two or more checks, one tap builds a text or PDF report with every check, daytime vs evening, who was flagged each time and the numbers behind each score. Free, no purchase needed.
- Home-screen widget: shows your last score and who was at fault. Tap it to open Health Score.
- Bufferbloat test: measures latency while the line is loaded (download and upload), grades it A+ to F and shows your speeds. If the test server can't be loaded from your network (traffic to Cloudflare is throttled in some countries), it tells you so instead of handing out an A+.
- 31 tools in total, including a Latency Dashboard to the servers people actually use, real ICMP ping without root (intervals down to 50 ms), traceroute, MTR, DNS, TLS, port scan, VPN/DNS-leak check, IPv6, BGP, LAN scan and NAT type.
Who It's For: people whose internet "feels slow" in the evening and who want proof before calling their ISP; gamers chasing lag spikes; anyone who needs evidence for a support ticket.
Cost
- Pricing model: free, with an optional one-time purchase (not a subscription).
- Prices: every tool works for free, including export and the provider report. Premium is $2.99 one-time in the US (Google Play shows your local price) and adds 30/90-day Bufferbloat trends and the Latency Dashboard for every market.
- Ads: on some problem results (a DNS block, symmetric NAT / blocked UDP, a DNS leak) and in the VPN Check tool, the app shows a button that promotes a VPN service. That is the only ad, and it is why Google Play lists the app as "Contains ads". There are no banner or video ads.
- Current promotions: none.

Additional Notes: I'm the solo developer. The app came out on Google Play in October 2026, and the latest update added the provider report, the widget and the evening re-check. 13 languages, Android 10+. For the devs here: ping uses Android's unprivileged ICMP socket, so no root and no NDK. What I'd most like to hear: if the Health Score blamed the wrong link on your network, tell me your setup (Wi-Fi/mesh, ISP type) and what it said.
