Will I have enough time? Foggy -> Vern

I’m an incoming freshman planning to start next week and it just hit me… can I get to The Vern in 30 minutes?

I have a class in Elliott ending at 2pm then my next class at Ames Hall on The Vern starting at 2:30pm, will I be able to make it in time? The Vern course is, UW 1020 and I’ve heard depending on those professors they may be flexible… pls LMK!!

GWU vs UMD (OOS)

Pls help me decide 🫠🫠🫠

Context: I’m an Asian male from the west coast applying for Political Science. Here’s my dilemma:

George Washington University - COA ~23k

vs.

University of Maryland - COA ~40k (out of state tuition)

Cost isn’t too much of an issue, but I got in for public policy for both schools. I got off the UMD waitlist yesterday and have been struck with this dilemma since. I committed to GWU, but as UMD’s higher rank and renowned name I shortly realized it could be a consideration. I want to go to law school, and hear that going to GWU puts you in a position where you’re kind of lock into DC, which I’m ok with, but I mainly considered GWU over other colleges such as William and Mary, Pitt, Indiana, and Lehigh (all AMAZING schools), because of its location in the capital. Location aside, I heard that academics at GWU aren’t the strongest , which leads me to my issue of UMD… the opportunity of GWU is incomparable with its location in downtown Washington DC: endless internship opportunities, city life, and a fabulous public policy program. On the other hand, UMD is just 30 minutes away from the city, stronger academics, more costly, and a pretty big public school. I have until May 22 to decide to enroll in UMD if I so choose.if anyone knows anything about these schools that could help weigh my options, PLEASE!!!

I’m also interested in minoring in music for violin.
