Low-pressure chaos gremlin looking for similarly low-key buddies!

I always wanted to play, but the phone I had during PoGo's biggest heyday couldn't handle it, and by the time I got one that could, all my friends had moved on so I still never did. Recently had a fit of nostalgia and decided screw it, I'll play without them lol. As a result, I have NO IDEA what I'm doing so I just do whatever seems the most entertaining to me in the moment, and I'm looking for others who similarly love to play but don't wanna be the very best, like no one ever was lol.
I'm currently the most active during the work week because my office has two pokestops for some reason (with more within walking distance during lunch), but for whatever reason my home is a complete dead zone. So I'd love to get some buddies so I have interesting things to do when I'm home, too lol
