Hat trick done! SIE/7/66 first try

I want to thank this community as it was always helpful reviewing peoples feedback. I am finally done with my journey. Know a lot of who must register and where like pertaining to the office. I would say this was definitely the hardest exam of the 3. Whole time taking it I was thinking what am I gonna do if I fail. Press the button the submit and heart beating so fast. Do a ton of practice questions, and make sure to watch ALL of Series7Gurus YT vids. The explicated exams really helped. Read the book in full. Take notes. Do what it takes and you’ll get it done. There were so many things on my test I felt like I’ve never seen before. Certain questions all 4 answers looked right and didn’t have a clear choice. Know the products and their advantages/disadvantages. You got this! Love yall

Just passed first try!

Blessed and relieved to have passed both SIE and 7 on my first try. On to the 66. I studied for about 4-5 weeks for the 7, about 4-5 hours a day. I started by reading the textbook in full, then doing as many questions as possible. I had Kaplan as my main vendor but access to others like STC. I would definitely recommend Kaplan, as my exam had questions that reflected super closely to the Kaplan style. I had an EXACT word for word question as Ken’s “3 crucial questions” and some brutal exam ones. I had mostly options, then mutual funds a lot. Some tax questions but not many, and not that many muni ones. Like 3-4 margin ones but easy ones. Literally no financial analysis ones on my exam which I’m grateful for because I think that was my weakest topic. Definitely know your bonds. Besides options and muni’s rest of test was basically suitability and also like when to do what with what document, and how to place orders. So know your documents and disclosures. Whenever an unscored question came up I knew it was that one because sometimes it didn’t even make sense and I had prepared hard. Thank you so much to this subreddit and to Ken the goat for the funny and helpful videos. Put in the work and you will get it done. 7 is more of a marathon than SIE, but with preparation I actually felt better during the exam than I did during the SIE. That fast heart rate when you click submit is wild haha!
