Has anyone had a hypo gastric plexus nerve block for ongoing chronic pelvic pain that has lasted for year? I am hoping for some relief from it instead of having to keep taking pain medicine every 4-6 hours. I’ve had a hysterectomy in April of this year, went through pelvic floor therapy and nothing has cured this extreme pelvic pain and fullness I am experiencing.
I have hypermobile EDs and I am on a waiting list to see a physician who specializes in it. Unfortunately the waiting list is a year and half long.
What is everyone using for knee pain and joint pain? I am already on 10mg Oxycodone and a 5mg/hr pain patch for other issues I am having. It is not even touching the joint pain. I am allergic to NSAIDs so I feel like there is almost nothing I can take to help the inflammation and pain.
My doctor found a pretty large cyst on my left ovary last week. I am about 14 weeks out from my hysterectomy where everything was taken but my ovaries. This would definitely explain the continued pain and hormonal changes I’ve continued to have when I thought the surgery would end up fixing things. The doctor’s plan is to wait it out 6 weeks and repeat an internal ultrasound. He gave me some muscle relaxers for pain and honestly they don’t help. I’ve explained to him. I can’t get in to see a different doctor until September because of their busy schedule. Is it just me or is that just crazy? Am I crazy for wanting the stupid ovary gone and just keeping the other one that’s worked well my whole life. Let me add that this is no where near the first time I’ve had a cyst on this ovary. Just the first time it’s been this large to where I can’t cope with the pain too well.
I am 8 weeks post op from a hysterectomy and I had my follow up appointment where I told the doctor I was still having pain in my pelvic region as well as pain that mimics cysts that I had on my ovaries. I really can’t do much at home still. I am living on Tylenol and ibuprofen that is doing nothing for me. I don’t sleep. My doctor prescribed me gabapentin and it did nothing for me except make my heart race and give me a euphoric feeling. When I messaged the doctor he told me everything will work itself out and to get some otc sleep medicine. I really feel defeated. I feel basically the same since before the surgery. I don’t know if I should get another opinion or if they will think I’m just drug seeking. I don’t want pain medicine. I want to be helped. I’m too the point where I just wished I told him to take my ovaries as well to be out of all this pain. I would like to hear your opinions on this .
