arm patch

I've just come here to say that as much as I dislike iron on patches, I really hate hand sewing the arm patch. Like a lot of hate. Probably an irrational amount of hate for sewing this thing on. My fingers hurt from pin pricks, this isn't fun. I've done this way too many times so you'd think I'd be a pro by now. Nope, still bleeding.

Rant over. Carry on.

Sarafina

This book was recommended to several times on here, and I want to thank anyone that suggest it. This was an absolutely fun read, suspenseful at times, comical, and dark. I loved the mashup of genres as well as the character development and pacing. Fracassi might be another new favorite author. Are all his books this good?

If you haven;t read this yet, definitely check it out.

Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay

Just finished this one. My first Tremblay book. I'm not quite so sure how to feel. I wasn't a real big fan of the "blog posts" in between some of the chapters. It was unique though, the way it was written; especially from the perspective of young and older Merry. What are your thoughts on this novel? I'd love to discuss this one some of you.

Krampus, The Yule Lord by Brom

If you're into horror and alternative folklore, this is for you. It takes the story and mythology of Santa Claus and Krampus, and their relationship to one another to a whole new level. I read it for the first time this past Christmas season; It did not disappoint me in the slightest.

Just finished Between Two Fires

The ending confused me a bit, or I may just have been slightly dense. Thomas was resurrected and became a Priest, yet his wife didn't know him? And Delphine or her spirit? went back to the beginning and continued her life from when she met Thomas but with different people?

Blair Witch esque

Looking for books that give you that Blair Witch feel. That Forest or isolation dread. Could be any subgenre really. Zombies, creatures, slashers, paranormal.

Red Rabbit

Anyone else read this? I'm currently fighting my way through the last 3rd of it. I find the author's ability to write in the time period to be phenomenal, however, the book itself has been boring and just seems to keep dragging on and on with no clear peak. The character's themselves, too, in my opinion, are bland with very little development.
Thoughts and Opinions welcomed.
